Best Nintendo Switch deals in December 2020

The hunt for Nintendo Switch deals is in a strong heat at the moment, as the console is hard to find (again), though bundles keep popping up at sites like Amazon and Walmart.

Amazon finally got stock of the $299 Switch + Mario Kart 8 Deluxe + Switch Online bundle, which is $68 less than if you bought them separately.  Best Buy and Walmart (which has in-stock alerts) have posted the same Switch bundle and it’s been coming in and out of stock at all three. This $299 bundle gets you the Switch, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and three months of Nintendo Switch Online

If you’re looking for the console itself, make sure to check out our where to buy Nintendo Switch guide. Otherwise, here are the best Nintendo Switch deals you can get right now.

Best Nintendo Switch deals right now

Best Nintendo Switch deals

The Nintendo Switch (with extended battery) retails for $299. The updated console was released last year with an improved battery that lasts a maximum of nine hours, rather than 6.5. (You can spot the new console from its packaging: the upgraded Nintendo Switch box has a red background).

However, Switch shortages have made finding a console near-impossible. The few consoles that you do find are usually priced upwards of $400 and are sold by third-party merchants. But not all hope is lost. We’ve noticed that Switch consoles do come in stock, but tend to sell out rapidly. If you’re looking for a console, your best bet is to check stores like Best Buy and GameStop daily (stock is sometimes replenished in the morning) and don’t hesitate to buy one when you see it.

Nintendo Switch Lite deals

The Editor’s Choice Nintendo Switch Lite retails for $199. It’s smaller and lighter than the traditional Switch which makes it even more portable. We love the Switch Lite’s gorgeous, comfortable design, good battery life, and stellar game library. The Switch Lite is available in three colors: gray, turquoise, and yellow.

Unlike the Nintendo Switch, the Switch Lite is slightly easier to find in stock. Usually Best Buy and GameStop have stock of the Switch Lite in various colors. As for as Switch Lite deals — don’t expect any. The only deals we’ve seen are on refurb models, which only take $5 off and are very rare to find.
